Talking About a Revolution – Industry 4.0 from the Perspective of an Engineering Service Provider

  Time:       Oct 16, 2018 / 13:30-15.00 PM
Location: CDHAW, Jishi Building, Lecture hall 342

Summary

The so called Industrial Revolution 4.0 (if it is a revolution at all) can not be only reduced to produc-tion topics, rather this is about the horizontal networking of different faculties and parties, in particular the engineering (from planning to the supervision of the production ramp-up) play a decisive role. This lecture deals with the advantages of a collaborative approach (Simultaneous Engineering) and the system surrounding, which make the production system à la Industry 4.0 possible in the first place. More specifically, the following topics will be discussed:

-Industry 4.0 - three dimensions of networked collaboration
-Industry 4.0 bottom-up at EDAG Production Solutions concepts, approaches and references
-Mechatronic engineering – networked collaboration without data loss and without unnecessary duplication.
